    This is Mary A. Otondo Elementary

    Welcome to Mary A. Otondo Elementary in Yuma, Arizona. When educator Amanda Evans saw Unified in action for the first time, she said, “I want to be a part of this.” The following year, she started working with Special Olympics. The Unified Sports program started small. It wasn’t long before a group of 25 grew to more than 70. Today, Amanda’s students approach her and eagerly ask, “Can I be on the team?” Inclusion is here to stay at Otondo. After 7 years, they’re proud to be a Special Olympics Unified Champion School.
